Job Purpose
The Manager of CCOE / Azure Architect will lead a team of Azure professionals establishing policy and governance of the platform. With security at the forefront the Architect will leverage Policy and Defender to establish guardrails and alerts. As the subject matter expert, the Architect will coach and mentor others on best practices and procedures to foster a community of cloud support and empower cloud users to manage their resources with confidence. The Architect will also collaborate with development teams to ensure environments are secure and performant. Key elements that will be managed are Cost, Policy, Governance, Automation and Security.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Define and implement:
- security best practices for cloud architecture
- Architectural improvements for the cloud infrastructure estate
- Architectural standards for the cloud estateLeverage Azure Policy to define and enforce guardrails
- Leverage Azure Defender, Wiz.io or other orchestration tooling to create reporting and visibility to the estate security posture
- Lead a team of cloud engineers and security engineers
- Create and define FinOps policies
- Work with development teams to set up code and container scanning
- Work with development teams to mitigate scan findings
- Define best practices and standards for applicaiton security
Required Skills
- Minimum 7 years Azure Experience
- Experience in Azure Devops creating pipelines and managing code
- All aspects of Azure management from Cost Center to Policy to Defender
- Ability to create custom policies
- Experience with Azure Arc and HCI
- Automation of guardrails, reports and resource deployment
- PowerShell or other native MS/Azure scripting language for automation
- Must understand Azure services and resources and be able to speak to use cases and best practices
- Fundamental understanding of security best practices for cloud.
- Firm understanding of cloud governance
