Job Overview

Komatsu East is a major distributor of Komatsu and Allied OEM heavy construction equipment in the northeast and is owned by Komatsu America Corporation. We are looking for a PSSR – Product Support Sales Representative to support our Yonkers, NY territory.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Builds positive customer relationships through excellent service, support, and knowledge of products represented
  • Serves as an ambassador for Komatsu product line
  • Maintains a strong relationship with parts, sales and service departments to ensure total customer satisfaction
  • Proper coverage of territory with extensive travel within assigned territory



  • Self motivated with strong sales drive
  • Willing to go the extra mile to exceed the customer expectations
  • Heavy equipment or technical background is a plus
  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong computer skills
  • Knowledge and ability to perform machine inspections, which often requires climbing, bending, stooping, crawling, etc, in, around, and under and heavy equipment
  • Must be able to apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to their everyday work activities where applicable.
  • Strong commitment to safety in all aspects of position and with internal and external customers and employees.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the equipment or related industry with direct product support and sales experience preferred.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills to independently handle diverse business needs of varied importance, including the proper treatment of confidential information.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and ability to procure cooperation of team members

Pay/ Benefits

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The base pay for this role is $50,000 annually. This position is also commission eligible.  Based on sales volume, commission typically ranges between $75,000 and $150,000 annually.  The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.

 Employees may be eligible for a bonus based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of Komatsu.
