Job Overview
- Dismantle, inspect and rebuild all types of hydraulic components/equipment.
- Operate test stands to test pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, legs, jacks and rams.
- Operate disassembly and assembly test equipment.
- Perform detailed inspections using metric and standard micrometer and other tolerance tooling and prepare inspection disassembly and final test/inspection reports.
- Operate lapping machine, drill press, grinder, honing machine and various hand tools to process component parts.
- Ensure that written quality control standards and procedures are strictly adhered to.
- Order parts as necessary to complete order. Return parts to stock after job completion.
- Follow established safety and environmental procedures. Ensure all work areas are clean and orderly.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
- 3 YEARS GENERAL HYDRAULIC REPAIRS, ALL TYPES OF HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS.
- READ, UNDERSTAND AND ASSEMBLE FROM FACTORY BLUEPRINTS, DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS.
- EFFICIENT WITH STANDARD AND METRIC MICROMETERS, DIAL GAUGES, VENEERS, INDICATORS, SMALL HAND TOOLS.
- CERTIFIED OPERATOR, POWERED FORK TRUCKS.
- TRAINED OPERATOR, OVERHEAD CRANES.
- PRACTICAL AND EFFICIENT TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS.
Preferences
- EXPERIENCE WITH ALL TYPES OF UNDERGROUND MINING COMPONENTS/EQUIPMENT.
- BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS.
- ASSOCIATES OR EQUIVALENT TECHNICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE IN HYDRAULIC THEORY.
- FAMILIARITY WITH ISO QUALITY MODEL.
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
