Job Overview

  1. Dismantle, inspect and rebuild all types of hydraulic components/equipment.
  2. Operate test stands to test pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, legs, jacks and rams.
  3. Operate disassembly and assembly test equipment.
  4. Perform detailed inspections using metric and standard micrometer and other tolerance tooling and prepare inspection disassembly and final test/inspection reports.
  5. Operate lapping machine, drill press, grinder, honing machine and various hand tools to process component parts.
  6. Ensure that written quality control standards and procedures are strictly adhered to.
  7. Order parts as necessary to complete order.  Return parts to stock after job completion.
  8. Follow established safety and environmental procedures.  Ensure all work areas are clean and orderly.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

  1. 3 YEARS GENERAL HYDRAULIC REPAIRS, ALL TYPES OF HYDRAULIC COMPONENTS.
  2. READ, UNDERSTAND AND ASSEMBLE FROM FACTORY BLUEPRINTS, DRAWINGS AND DIAGRAMS.
  3. EFFICIENT WITH STANDARD AND METRIC MICROMETERS, DIAL GAUGES, VENEERS, INDICATORS, SMALL HAND TOOLS.
  4. CERTIFIED OPERATOR, POWERED FORK TRUCKS.
  5. TRAINED OPERATOR, OVERHEAD CRANES.
  6. PRACTICAL AND EFFICIENT TROUBLESHOOTING SKILLS.

Preferences

  1. EXPERIENCE WITH ALL TYPES OF UNDERGROUND MINING COMPONENTS/EQUIPMENT.
  2. BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS.
  3. ASSOCIATES OR EQUIVALENT TECHNICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE IN HYDRAULIC THEORY.
  4. FAMILIARITY WITH ISO QUALITY MODEL.

 

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
