Job Overview

The Manager of FP&A leads financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis across Soft Rock North America. This role consolidates financial data across multiple business units and supports senior leader-level decision-making while managing a team (Financial Analyst and Sales & Service Financial Analyst).

Key Job Responsibilities

  • 1. Financial Planning & Forecasting
  • Lead quarterly forecasts and annual plans (P&L, balance sheet, units, CapEx)
  • Consolidate regional inputs and ensure accuracy
  • Analyze trends, identify change drivers, and challenge assumptions
  • Prepare presentations and reports for senior leaders
  • Monitor Soft Rock North America mining equipment sales, bookings, and margin impacts
  • 2. Reporting & Analysis
  • Oversee monthly financial reports
  • Perform variance and trend analysis (sales, margins, expenses, capital)
  • Ensure financial data consistency, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Maintain controls and balance sheet reconciliations
  • 3. Systems & Process Improvement
  • Build dashboards and analytics with Power BI, SQL, and BPC
  • Enhance reporting processes and implement best practices
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects
  • 4. Leadership & Business Partnering
  • Manage and develop a team (Financial Analyst and Sales & Service Financial Analyst)
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, business units, accounting, and regional finance teams
  • Support integration of new business groups

Qualifications/Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s in Finance/Accounting (Master’s/CPA/CFA preferred)
  • ~6+ years of FP&A or accounting experience
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
  • Advanced technical skills (Excel, SAP, Power BI, SQL, AI etc.)
