Job Specification (not totally inclusive)
- Leading employees within an area of responsibility to achieve organizational goals safely, within budget and at the required quality standards;
- Identify and use leading indicators to avoid potential negative business performance and drive mitigating actions;
- Creating and coordinating action plans and preventative plans and drive continuous improvement initiatives;
- Promote Regional and Global alignment by ensuring that execution is aligned with all strategies, initiatives and plans including global business transformation;
- Promote the required culture by promoting and applying the “Komatsu Way” principles and standards;
- Manage production and control in line with production plans to satisfy sales and customer delight through on time delivery through a strategically developed plan;
- Provide stakeholders with relevant professional management reports;
- Ensure that the strategic production plan is followed for capacity, workload, productivity, absorption and OTD, and track compliance of the plan to Business targets from Financial Outlook;
- Develop, implement, communicate and maintain quality plans,
- Drive Zero harm and management of safety initiatives and projects in line with Global principles, objectives, and standards; and
- Management of Operational tasks such as safety, quality, productivity, cost, and people.
Minimum Skills required.
- Degree in Engineering and/or Manufacturing/Operations management or equivalent;
- A post graduate business or commercial qualification, whilst not essential, is desirable,
- A minimum of five years’ experience occupying a leadership position in an Engineering or Industrial environment;
- Must have experience working in a highly unionized environment;
- Solid understanding of applicable legislation and regulatory requirements;
- Well-developed business acumen;
- Good report writing and presentation skills are mandatory;
- Advanced computer literacy, including MS Office package and SAP business system; and
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transport.

Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
