Job Overview
The position will be based in Wadeville, and the incumbent will report to the Foreman.
Job Specification (not totally inclusive)
• Isolate equipment and machinery, lockout and tagout when safe to perform any maintenance task;
• Perform the required planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure smooth, efficient operation of the plant and machinery;
• Perform fault finding, services and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment;
• Perform daily and weekly inspection, record and report any deviation that may affect the operation of the plant;
• Perform preventative maintenance activities as assigned by Maintenance Planner;
• Report on plant/ machinery conditions to ensure efficient operations.
Minimum Skills required
• Grade 12 or equivalent;
• Trade tested Millwright - Red seal;
• 4 -5 years of relevant post-trade plant maintenance experience;
• Electrical High and Low Voltage skills;
• HT Switching Experience;
• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately;
• Computer literate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
• Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet operational demands;
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
