An opportunity for a University student to obtain the required workplace exposure has become available. We require student that has completed all theoretical modules of his / her qualification in BCom Honours In HRM, to be employed on a one-year fixed term contract at Wadeville.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in ensuring ongoing compliance with the POPI Act by developing, implementing, and maintaining data protection policies and procedures
  • Assist in conducting training sessions and awareness programs to educate employees about the proper handling of personal information and the implications of mishandling data 
  • Assist addressing and managing personal information breaches within departments, ensuring immediate action and preventive measures
  • Assist in reviewing and updating data handling procedures to ensure compliance with POPI
  • Work closely with IT and other departments to modify report designs, exclude unnecessary sensitive information, and enhance data protection
  • Assist in developing and executing an audit plan to review different departments for POPI compliance, ensuring ongoing adherence to regulations   

Qualifications/Requirements

BCom Honours in Human Resources majoring with Employment Relations
