Job Overview

Responsible for troubleshooting and resolution of the electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of Komatsu mining equipment, which may include electric mining shovels, rotary blast hole drills and wheel loaders.

  • Use of broad conceptual judgement, initiative and ingenuity to work independently toward ultimate objectives on very involved and complex projects, to devise methods and procedures to meet unusual conditions and to make original contributions to solutions of complex problems.
  • Responsibility to prevent damage due to mistakes or careless use of equipment or materials.
  • Working in a diverse team environment.
  • Any other duties as appropriate and required.

Flexibility with travel based on needs and overall company objectives.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Use of advanced trade mathematics
  • Ability to interpret and understand complicated drawings, specifications, charts and tables and handbook formulas
  • Ability to use all varieties of precision measuring instruments. 
  • Equivalent to complete accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, craft or occupation; or equivalent to a 2-year technical college education, is a plus.
  • Continuing education is highly encouraged.
  • Over 5 years in similar job experience.
