Job Overview

A GET Program Manager is responsible to enhance quality, safety, and reliability of our GET in the marketplace to meet customers’ needs now and in the future. They collaborate with engineers from both Komatsu and Hensley to identify improvement opportunities to the GET systems we represent.  Additional duties include tracking GET installation performance statistics in the Region and investigating any issues our customers are experiencing.   Any issues identified will require a root cause analysis that will drive improvement plans. Customer engagement to obtain feedback is critical in this position.

The GET Product Manager will work under the Regional Manager to ensure that our GET products are performing in the field and we are accumulating performance data to support further installations in the Region.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Adhere to and promote company EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) standards along with other relevant policies in all job functions.
  • Initiate comprehensive engineering studies targeting product and component failures, guiding improvement initiatives in partnership with Hensley.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in warranty claims and reliability analysis, leading the charge in developing robust product support capabilities to facilitate problem identification and resolution.
  • Spearhead initiatives aimed at reducing warranty costs while simultaneously enhancing product quality, thereby driving customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate and contribute to cross-functional teams in problem resolution and reliability assessment activities, promoting collaborative solutions.
  • Deliver training sessions at customer locations to familiarize end-users with Hensley GET installation and maintenance best practices.
  • Conduct diligent inspections at customer sites to identify potential product and component failures, utilizing engineering knowledge to propose effective solutions.
  • Regularly perform detailed GET inspections at customer sites, collecting data to support reliability assessments and helping to boost maintainability.
  • Advise customers on recommended practices that can extend component life, thereby enhancing their operational efficiency.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly reports and presentations outlining product performance, challenges encountered, corrective actions taken, and ongoing improvements.
  • Conduct periodic inspections alongside customer or Komatsu field service personnel, ensuring thorough documentation for effective troubleshooting and analysis.
  • Engage in teamwork within a diverse environment, cultivating relationships essential for effective communication and support.
  • Collaborate closely with Account Managers to maintain consistent support for Hensley GET products, ensuring alignment and responsiveness to customer needs.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Flexibility in work scheduling is essential, as this role may require daytime, nighttime, weekend, and holiday shifts, along with day and overnight travel commitments.
  • Demonstrable skills in troubleshooting, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and problem-solving are critical for success in this role.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in engaging with customers to address and resolve general inquiries and requests, fostering positive relationships.
  • Comfort with Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary for data documentation and reporting tasks.
  • Adept at collecting and analyzing data, with the capability to generate formal reports that present findings and actionable recommendations.
  • Intermediate understanding of technical specifications, blueprint interpretation, and schematic reading to support product evaluations.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, primarily to customer locations in Minnesota and Michigan, and occasionally to Hensley Industries in Dallas, Texas; note that estimated travel can reach 50%.
  • Demonstrated intermediate financial and business acumen to facilitate effective problem resolution and improve product offerings.

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$103,000-154,600. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
