Job Overview
The Warehouse Technician supports efficient warehouse operations through safe handling, accurate processing, and organized storage of materials. Working under the direction of the Regional Parts Manager, this role operates both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions and is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and dependable in a team environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Prioritize and maintain a safe work environment; follow all safety protocols and report hazards
- Load and unload freight trucks safely and efficiently
- Inspect incoming and outgoing freight for damage; document findings and initiate corrective actions
- Accurately receive parts and materials into the system, label with part numbers, and ensure correct storage
- Prepare and construct shipping containers; handle domestic and international shipments in compliance with regulations
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and maintain correct stock locations in the system
- Organize and optimize warehouse shelf space for accessibility and accuracy
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and orderliness, including outdoor tasks as assigned (e.g., lawn care, lot maintenance)
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support business continuity (as needed)
- Collaborate with team members and production shop leads to ensure timely and accurate material handling
- Identify freight weights and limits to ensure safe equipment operation (e.g., forklifts, cranes)
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment per task training certifications
- Plan work sequence and make decisions on material flow and setup processes
- Prevent material spoilage or loss due to improper handling or inspection
Qualifications/Requirements
- 1+ year relevant warehouse or material handling experience required
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Outlook; SAP experience is a plus
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to interpret charts, diagrams, specs, and procedural documentation
- Flexible availability to support business needs, including occasional on-call duty
- Strong reliability, teamwork, and communication skills in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move light to moderate weight materials frequently
- Perform tasks requiring vertical lifting, overhead reach, bending, kneeling, and static posture
- Climb ladders and steps, maintain balance, and walk on uneven surfaces
- Push/pull and perform repetitive upper body movements
Environmental, Health & Safety Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
- Promote and adhere to the organization’s “Safety First” philosophy
- Complete safety documentation such as FLRAs, Near Miss Cards, and Safety Observations
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $49,000.00 - 53,000.00. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
