Job Purpose
As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for planning and developing a wide range of information deliverables for our products, including, but not limited to, software user guides, online help, knowledge base articles, hardware installation manuals, and equipment operator guides. We are looking for a proactive self-starter who can tackle multiple, complex information development projects while delivering concise, accurate, well-written content. The ideal candidate has proven excellent technical writing skills and a strong desire to improve user experiences for both internal and external customers.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Create high-quality documentation in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, agile environment.
- Develop a variety of task-based software and hardware documentation.
- Work with products, interview subject matter experts, research written material, and attend demonstrations to generate documentation.
- Create documentation solutions that explain complex information in a clear, accurate, and concise manner.
- Own and drive projects independently, while sharing your work frequently in technical and editorial reviews.
- Advocate for the customer in all aspects of your job.
- Prepare documentation for translation and compile translated help systems.
- Create screen shots and illustrations using graphics tools.
- Conform to departmental processes and style guidelines, and ensure documentation meets the needs of the business and the audience.
- Maintain records and files of new documentation and revisions.
- Respond quickly and positively to constructive feedback, making all necessary edits to submitted
Required Skills
- BA in English, Technical Writing, Communications, or related field.
- 3 + years of technical writing experience.
- Exceptional technical writing skills, as well as impeccable attention to detail.
- Proficiency with FrameMaker.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to translate highly technical information into easily understandable information.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Proven record owning the documentation process from profiling audiences, to gathering information, to final publication and maintenance.
- User-centric thinker who can anticipate the user’s concerns and questions about the product.
- Excellent time management skills/prioritization.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Ability to work efficiently from home, but under the supervision of direct management.
