Job Purpose

Applies System Engineering specialties of requirements management, quality control, and configuration management on product development projects.

Travel Requirements

Up to 10%.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads and participates in test planning, creating traceability to requirements, risk-based testing, estimation, and scheduling of QA efforts
  • Develops and maintains test cases, traceability, procedures, scripts, and test data for verifying quality of OEM Drivers
  • Develops and executes plans to identify, document, and mitigate technical risks
  • Directly participates in the execution of manual and automated system test procedures for delivering reports of pass/fail results compared to quality plan
  • Continuous monitoring and enhancement of approaches and methodologies to improve OEM Driver testing.
  • Provides leadership, knowledge, guidance, and mentoring on Quality Assurance principles and practice.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical degree with emphasis in software Quality Assurance.
  • 3+ years of proven experience in software testing
  • Proven knowledge in Requirements Management, Quality Control, and Configuration Management
  • Experience with lab and field test instrumentation and automation, including client/server and embedded technology configurations
  • Understanding of networking protocols, wired and wireless networking
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within team environment
  • Detail oriented, excellent planning and communication skills
  • Proficiency in applying principles and practices from International Software Testing Quality Board (ISTQB/ASTQB), certifications a strong plus
  • Knowledge of Scripting Languages (Perl, Python or equivalent)
