Job Purpose

The role will be responsible to keep, develop and implements systems for generating, analyzing and interpretting timely and accurate financial results, plans and forecasts that comply with USGAAP and Company Policies to support decision making and allow operational activities to transact in an efficient and organised fashion.
Main areas of responsibilities will include:

  • Promotion of the Corporate Values (Safety, Compliance, Policy, Quality, Delivery and Financial Results)
  • Provide value adding Management Accounting support as a Trusted Advisor to the Senior Finance Manager and NA Region.
  • Support the Senior Finance Manage to conduct financial analytics for the company to aid in business forecasting process and financial decision making.
  • Assist with optimization of use of our Business Systems.
  • Support the Senior Finance Manage to develop, maintain and upgrade efficient and effective business processes

The ideal candidate will possess their Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, highly computer literate, 3+ years of relevant work experience and Supervision/Management. The ideal candidate would have experience in support setting departmental objectives, career development and succession plans. Industries or sectors where experience is preferred are in software or  high tech manufacturing or service environments.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

NA Region Support:

  • Monitor and analyse accounting data and produce financial reports or statements for the NA Region.
  • Proactively assist Senior Finance Manager and NA Region to improve business rusults, business literacy, help enable informed business decisions and provide general advice as needed as the Trusted Advisor.
  • Review Intercopany processes (ICSO). 
  • Ensure NA Region time recording is improved, then monitored to be timely and accurate on Harvest.
  • Ensure all NA Region related  invoicing and orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist NA project managers and Senior Finance Manager with financial report of AHS projects to ensure projects are profitable.
  • Help Senior Finance Manager and NA Region managers understand requirements for doing business in new countries/customers.  
  • Assist Senior Finance Manager and NA Region group with executing new site deployments in an efficient and organised fashion.
  • Support Senior Finance Manager and NA Region Team by providing Commerical support (business models, costing, pricing, contract review/negotiations and other commercial activities) to  the NA Region.
  • Improve systems and procedures to optimise resources and maximise customer service and initiate corrective actions.
  • Project support for any MTS Divistion as determined by the Organization.
  • Be responsible for Canadian LE cashflow and annual declaration, as well reports and necessary informations to BOD.


Business Planning, Reporting and Compliance support

  • Conduct business analytical work to provide more insight for the business to aid decision making.
  • Assist Senior Finance Manager with preparing and reviewing MTS consolidated plans and forecasts for presentation to Komatsu and/or the Divisional Managers as needed.
  • Assist with review and analysis for plans and forecasts for Regional Business divisions, as determined by the organization.
  • Other general accounting tasks and/or departmental projects as assigned.

Required Skills

Education & Experience:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required. Graduate Degree related to his position preferred but not required.  

Skills: 

  • Relevant work experience working with Accounting teams in a ‘for profit’ company.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a Finance and Accounting team.
  • Strong accounting and finance aptitude.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office environment.
  • Continuous improvement ability to implement new solutions and systems to streamline current processes.
  • Ability to manipulate and consolidate large amounts of data.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations (including tax related matters).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, while not losing the big picture.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Ability to be a create, develop, implement new policies and procedures and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Sales Order (SO) and Internal Order (IO) support and creation, coordinating with Sales & Operation Group.
  • Payment run review and approval.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or other comparable ERP system software.
  • Experience with Power BI or Other Dashboard report.
