Job Overview

The Divisional Support and Finance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining, developing, and implementing systems that generate, analyze, and interpret timely and accurate financial results, plans, and forecasts. These outputs must comply with US GAAP and Company policies, supporting informed decision-making and enabling operational activities to be executed in an efficient and well-organized manner.

Key Job Responsibilities

Corporate Divisional Support:

  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements for various Divisions.
  • Proactively assist Corporate Finance Manager and various Corporate Division to improve business results, business literacy, help enable informed business decisions and provide general advice as needed as the Trusted Advisor.
  • Prepare and support on Divisional Consolidation
  • Review and Supervise Intercompany processes (ICSO).
  • Be responsible for Fixed Asset ticket review and maintenance.
  • Ensure recording time is improved, then monitored to be timely and accurate on Harvest.
  • Improve systems and procedures to optimize resources and maximize customer service and initiate corrective actions.
  • Maintain and Support, provide training and advice to Managers, Users and finance staff on Harvest system and time allocation.
  • Execute ad-hoc cross-system reconciliation (ex: Harvest, K-Success, Adaptive, SAP, etc.)

Business Planning, Reporting and Compliance support

  • Conduct business analytical work to provide more insight into the business to aid decision making.
  • Assist Corporate Finance Manager with preparing and reviewing MTS consolidated plans and forecasts for presentation to Komatsu and/or the Divisional Managers as needed.
  • Assist with review and analysis of plans and forecasts for Regional Business divisions, as determined by the organization.
  • Other general accounting tasks and/or departmental projects as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. 
  • Must demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively as part of a Finance and Accounting team.
  • Strong accounting and finance aptitude.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Strong independent problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Microsoft Office environment.
  • Continuous improvement ability to implement new solutions and systems to streamline current processes.
  • Ability to manipulate and consolidate large amounts of data.
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations (including tax related matters).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, while not losing the big picture.
  • Ability to direct and supervise.
  • Ability to be a create, develop, implement new policies and procedures and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • Sales Order (SO) and Internal Order (IO) support and creation, coordinating with Sales & Operation Group.

Desired Skills

  • Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance.
