Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to join our Komatsu West IT team in Tucson, AZ. The ideal candidate will provide front-line technical support to end-users, assisting with hardware, software, and networking issues. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals eager to grow their IT skillswhile supporting a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

-Provide first-line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
-Troubleshoot and resolve common software issues, including operating systems, office applications, and company-specific tools.
-Assist with hardware installations, upgrades, and configurations.
-Respond to user requests through help desk tickets, phone calls, or in-person support.
-Escalate complex issues to senior support staff or system administrators as needed.
-Maintain accurate documentation of issues, solutions, and processes.
-Support IT team with system rollouts, upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks.
-Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security standards.

Qualifications/Requirements

Education & Experience:
-High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field preferred).
-Two+ years of experience in IT support, help desk, or related technical role.
-Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician, etc.) are a plus.

Skills & Competencies:
-Basic knowledge of Windows 10 and 11 client operating system environments.
-Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Office 365, and common business applications.
-Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, DHCP).
-Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
