Job Purpose
The Technical Sales Manager is the technical owner of sales enablement and training execution, product artifact development, and seller coaching. This role plays a critical hands-on part in translating highly technical product and engineering inputs into effective sales enablement content, artifacts, and training experiences. Additionally, this manager provides technical depth to enablement programs, supports product readiness, and mentors’ sellers on execution skills required for successful customer engagement. The role leads Technical Account Manager (TAM) engagements with support from the Sales Enablement Manager (SEM) and supports Key Account Manager (KAM) engagements as needed.

Travel up to 25% per year, may include international travel.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Each day will present you with new challenges and opportunities to test and grow your skills. As a Technical Sales Manager with Modular, you’ll be responsible for:
- Serve as the technical owner for enablement training execution and product-related content
- Design, create, and deliver technical enablement content and training programs
- Act as a communications bridge between Sales and Product Strategy / Engineering teams
- Lead design, creation, and deployment of product artifacts
- Provide hands-on mentoring and coaching to sellers on technical and execution topics
- Lead TAM engagements and support KAM engagements as required
- Support CRM training delivery and contribute technical input to CRM content and roadmap discussions
- Use analytics to inform seller coaching and provide feedback to content and system owners
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Discipline, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in sales engineering, technical sales, product enablement, or related roles
- Experience developing and delivering technical training and enablement content
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, sales processes, and analytics
- Experience working in cross-functional and global environments preferred
Desired Skills
- Experience with, and understanding of, best practices around sales cycles, methodologies, and processes
- An understanding of strategies for business growth, as well as standard KPIs
- Knowledge of how to unravel the buyer and customer journey
- Familiarity with partnering with a marketing team
- Previous experience in mining or technology industries
