Job Overview
Komatsu’s Internship Program provides students the opportunity to gain first-hand experience in a highly structured learning environment. This 12-week program will offer interns: training, mentorship, and exposure to multiple areas within supply chain management and the manufacturing group.
Key Job Responsibilities
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to shadow and collaborate with experienced supply chain professionals on real projects, gaining valuable hands-on work experience.
The Supply Chain Intern, will work on projects such as lead time reduction, availability improvement, collaborating with suppliers, and analyzing parts or families of parts by material and operations with excessive lead times. The intern will also assist in developing new tools for the procurement/planning team, including designing Power BI dashboards for quality, delivery, and cost.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Education: Actively enrolled in a Supply Chain or Data Analytics Program from a 4-year accredited college/university.
- Must be able to apply their academic background to real business world experiences.
- Experience: Prior experience with work study programs, school or volunteer leadership roles, participated on teams or in clubs, professional organizations, etc. preferred.
- Soft Skills: Must have Excellent written and verbal communications. Ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and easily adapt to new challenges and business working environment. Strong motivation to make contributions to Komatsu and strong motivation to drive results.
- PC Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel (Pivot Tables), Power BI, and other summary and analysis tools. Must demonstrate good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Travel: Some travel may be required.
Additional Information
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $18.00 - $22.00. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
