Job Overview
Key Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate shop and field service repairs, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and testing of heavy equipment.
- Develop and manage daily work schedules for technicians to maximize efficiency and meet customer commitments.
- Create and oversee work orders, including ordering parts and materials, and ensure accurate documentation is provided for work order closure and invoicing in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain consistent communication with customers by providing repair estimates, recommendations, scheduling updates, completion timelines, and obtaining approvals as required.
- Oversee the receiving, pre‑delivery inspection, delivery condition, and documentation of new and rental equipment; communicate equipment status to Sales as needed.
- Coordinate and schedule repairs and services with outside vendors, manufacturers, and third‑party service providers.
- Ensure shops, service bays, trucks, tool rooms, and component overhaul/testing areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized condition.
- Maintain responsibility for specialized tooling, including condition, maintenance, and updates.
- Ensure proper handling, tracking, and retention of failed parts from customer, internal, and warranty repairs in accordance with company guidelines.
