Job Overview

Digital transformation (DTX) is the integration of innovative digital technology into all areas of a business, fundamentally changing how we operate and deliver value to internal and external customers. The Senior Manager of Digital Transformation must have a clear understanding of the business processes, be in tune with latest technologies, and be able to combine for functional optimizations in the business.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • This position has ownership across all applications, technology systems and content as they apply to the digital roadmap for the Komatsu Technological Landscape.
  • Acts aa a liaison between the senior business leadership team and key stakeholders via the DTX steering committee.
  • Initiates and manages all Capital and Expense budgets relating to DTX globally under an oversight of the DTX steering committee.
  • Launches, provides oversight, manages and successful completes of all DTX projects globally on time and on budget. In addition, the development of data product architecture will be specific to this role.
  • Coordinates and cooperates with peers and all levels of leadership across the DTX landscape in the approval process. The Senior Manager will work closely with the broader Komatsu organization and serve on the AI innovation ambassador council to continuously embrace new technologies, fueling the optimizations in the organization.
  • The Digital Roadmap will span across multiple IT platforms and technologies such as Palantir and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and begin to use AI in business logic or advanced processing. The DTX Senior Manager must have a detailed and technical understanding of all these systems and applications and how they can deliver value and savings and productivity to the business.
  • Assumes full process ownership for the Digital Roadmap of relevant domain and the process and principles and as such champions best practice.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a desired emphasis in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management or IT, and applicable Certifications (Data Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics)are required. Master's in Data Analytics preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in data management applied to Manufacturing and/or Supply Chain industry.
  • Experience with Palantir/Foundry, Power BI, Databricks, SAP/ERP, Excel, Python, SQL highly preferred
  • Exceptional business analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and data architectures.
  • Well versed in technology innovation
  • Ability to transform strategic discussions into concrete, actionable work plans
  • Ability to establish, build and maintain strong relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Must be able to apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to their everyday work activities where applicable
  • Excellent written, oral communication, project management and presentation skills, and the ability to present complex data and statistics in a simple and clear way
  • 35% Travel is required

Additional Information

  • Must be analytical and understand the processes and information that guide the Operational side of the organization. This includes the processes of functional teams which includes Engineering, Supply Chain, Scheduling, Operations and Logistics.
  • Needs to be a self-starter, well versed in how the regional business functions, tenacious and willing to challenge middle and senior management while impartially driving the business to new processes and performance levels.
  • As the Digital Roadmap crosses all levels of the business, deeply into the physical operations with the plants and up into leadership and management, the Senior Manager must have the leadership and collaboration and management skills to span all levels of the business.

 

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The salary range for this role is $120,600.00 - $150,800.00 - $181,000.00.. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
