Job Overview

 Are you a hands-on electrician who thrives on troubleshooting complex systems, solving problems in the field, and working with industry-leading equipment? We're looking for a Journeyperson Electrician who takes pride in quality workmanship, values safety, and enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment.

This is an opportunity to join a highly skilled Technical Services team where no two days are the same. You'll work with electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic control systems, tackle challenging diagnostics, and play a key role in keeping critical equipment operating at peak performance. Reports to: Manager, Technical Services

Shift:  7 x 7, 12 hours per shift

Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 25% within Canada and the USA
Relocation:
 This position does not offer relocation

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, electrical drawings, and code specifications to install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical and electronic equipment using diagnostic tools to identify faults and ensure safe operation
  • Install, maintain, and service motors, generators, alternators, industrial batteries, and hydraulic/pneumatic control systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and maintain accurate maintenance and service records
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety procedures
  • Participate in the on-call rotation and provide technical support as required

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal is an asset) 
  • Working knowledge of PLC controls, wiring, electrical theory, and industrial power systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods, access mine sites without restriction, and meet all site-specific requirements
  • Physically capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs and performing the demands of industrial field work
