Job Overview
We are looking for an onsite Parts Counter Representative!
In this role you'll help customers with their parts, and work with the warehouse. This role offers long-term growth opportunities, and is great for someone with prior experience in the mining, construction, or automotive industry who has worked previously in parts.
- Develop and sustain good working relationship with all customers.
- Support both internal and external customers daily with parts pricing, availability and order entry.
- Continually maintain and expedite customer orders and quotations.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all warehouse functions to ensure everyone goes home safe and healthy everyday.
- Display a good professional attitude to support high moral within the organization.
- Support all departments.
Key Job Responsibilities
DAILY:
• Process customer sales orders, expedite and follow up.
• Provide customer quotes, pricing and lead times etc.
• Safety conscientious in all daily activities.
• Ability to act with a sense of urgency.
• Ability to track orders / shipments in CDK, Excel, and SAP
• Ability to multi-task.
• Excellent verbal and electronic communication skills.
• Release and ship orders as necessary.
• Read/interpret parts manuals and drawings
WEEKLY:
• Process customer credits as necessary.
• Unload and load freight trucks. Inspect freight for damage.
• Operate manual power hoists, dollies, lifts and forklifts.
• Open order reports and expediting.
• Attend and participate in weekly department safety meetings.
• Review and approve freight bills.
• Review inventory to set min/max for proper order functions.
MONTHLY:
• In transit sloc reports.
• Transport order open reports.
• Attend monthly safety meetings.
• After hours on call for parts department.
• Assist with purchasing functions.
OCCASIONAL, INFREQUENT:
• Mine site visits (customer service/Meetings).
• Fill in for Buyer when necessary.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2 years experience
- Ability to read/interpret hard copy and electric parts manuals including Link One and VIP.
- Knowledge and use of Microsoft Applications including Excel
- Strong CDK & SAP knowledge (SME).
- Overall understanding / knowledge of entire Material Management functions.
- Inventory knowledge.
- Inventory control.
- Safety policies and expectations.
- Overall knowledge of shovel operation and functions.
- Strong working knowledge of company process and procedures.
- Know the right contacts within the organization to accomplish tasks at hand.
