Job Overview
Sets up and operates machines for external and internal gears, according to routing instructions and part drawing.
Key Job Responsibilities
Check dispatch list and follow top job on list.
Check router and assemble tooling.
Set up machine per set-up sheet and run to recommended feeds and speeds and verify the cutter. Program and edit CNC as required.
Load the part on the machines.
Machine the parts, inspect, and document as required.
Send part to Inspection for charting, if necessary.
Remove the parts from the machines.
Finish operation and protect parts from damage.
Make out a move ticket to send the part to the next operation. Move parts as necessary.
Obeys all safety rules, wears proper PPE, and adhere to 6S standard.
Refer to Best Practices manual for further direction.
Assist engineers and supervision to make improvements to parts, methods, fixturing and workplace organization for continuous improvement
Qualifications/Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
