Key Job Responsibilities
- Welds metal parts together on subassembly and production lines using the metal core GMAW (gas, metal arc welding)
- Interprets and reads drawings to ensure proper weld sequencing and weld sizing to complete work.
- Inspects work and related work of others and reports any defects or discrepancies to supervision immediately.
- Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products preparatory to welding.
- Operates overhead cranes, Jib cranes, or forklifts safely in order to move and set large parts to machine or fixture.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one one year welding experience required. Welding certification preferred.
- Must be able to use a variety of hand tools, power tools etc.
- Some standing, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift a maximum of forty pounds.
- Forklift certification preferred.
- Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company.
- Incumbent may be required to work overtime as required to meet schedules.
- Must comply with all environmental, quality, and safety rules, practices, and standards.
