Job Overview
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that products and processes meet quality standards, from initial design to final product. They implement quality control systems, monitor performance, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. This includes overseeing inspections, testing, data analysis, and reporting to ensure compliance with industry and customer expectations.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) to create processes and documentation that will ensure TimberPro’s products meet market requirements and issues are proactively addressed in the factory ensuring compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Create, implement and monitor quality control processes, including inspections, testing, and data analysis. Define and implement KPI (Key Performance Indicator) tracking to measure quality control performance.
- Identify and implement quality improvement
sactivities in manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and sustainability. Work with key suppliers to develop process improvements that will improve the quality of the product. - Support the training and monitoring of staff in quality control procedures and best practices.
- Collect, analyze, and report on quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Monitor and report financial information related to quality issues (i.e. warranty expense)
- Work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, suppliers, and field support teams to ensure that products meet defined quality standards.
- Manage relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality materials and components. Establish and implement communication and vendor recovery processes with the supplier network. Develop or adopt quality standards to establish expectations with suppliers.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues. Work with cross functional teams to conduct root cause analysis, issue and manage factory campaigns, and support service bulletin creation to address product issues in the field
- Developing and implementing quality control processes.
- Training staff in quality control procedures.
- Conducting regular quality audits and inspections.
- Analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure quality standards are met.
- Investigating customer complaints and resolving issues.
- Improving production efficiency and reducing waste.

Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, quality management, or a related field.
- 6+ years in a manufacturing or construction environment, with experience implementing and managing quality programs.
- Certified Quality Inspector, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, ISO 9000.
- Professional PC skills in Excel, Power Point, Word, and Access
- Professional written and oral communication skills required.

Hiring Range
