Job Purpose

As a Senior Frontend Engineer on the Mine Platform team, you will develop next-generation user interfaces for our telemetry and observability solutions. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and architects to deliver high-quality, responsive, and scalable frontend applications using React and modern microfrontend architectures.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • ​​​​​​Implement pixel-perfect user interfaces from designs using HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Develop, test, and optimize complex client-side logic in React within a microfrontend environment
  • Debug and resolve complex UI performance and integration issues
  • Collaborate effectively with product designers using design workflow tools like Zeplin, Figma, or InVision
  • Work closely with backend engineers developing IoT, telemetry, observability, and cloud-native services
  • Provide technical leadership in frontend architecture, reusable component development, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and review code contributions from internal teams and contractors.
  • Contribute proactively to frontend engineering practices, performance optimization, and tooling improvements.
  • Represent the frontend team in cross-functional meetings with stakeholders, including product management, documentation, customer support, and DevOps.

Required Skills

·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

·       6+ years of professional experience developing responsive web applications.

·       Deep expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.

·       Proven professional experience building scalable frontend applications using React, including microfrontend architecture.

·       Experience with automated UI testing frameworks such as Cypress or Selenium.

·       Practical experience with observability tools and telemetry data visualization (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, or similar).

·       Strong debugging skills, attention to detail, and commitment to high-quality code.

·       Excellent verbal and written English communication skills for collaboration with global teams.

·       Demonstrated ability to work effectively in Agile environments.

 

Desired Skills

·       Knowledge of data visualization tools and frameworks (e.g., D3.js, Plotly, Chart.js).

·       Exposure to GIS or mapping libraries (e.g., OpenLayers, Leaflet) or 3D visualization tools (e.g., Three.js, Babylon.js).

·       Full-stack development skills or familiarity with backend systems (Java, C#, Node.js).

·       Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

·       Awareness of UX principles and user-centered design methodologies.

·       Familiarity with Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) or Anomaly Detection principles and practices.
