Job Overview

If you’re the person everyone calls when the machine has to run — this job is built for you. You’ll be the boots‑on‑the‑ground expert supporting some of the toughest mining equipment in the industry. From commissioning new builds to troubleshooting high‑voltage systems in the field, you’ll use your electrical know‑how to keep customers running safely, efficiently, and with confidence. Reports to: District Manager, Saskatchewan
Shift: 7x7, 12 hours per day
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 25% travel within Canada and the USA

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support equipment builds, commissioning, and follow‑up service on customer sites
  • Provide on‑site technical support across all product lines
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues
  • Adjust, repair, or replace components and systems at customer sites
  • Track machine component KPIs and maintain accurate service records
  • Interface field issues with Product Support team to drive improvements
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Red Seal Electrical Journeyperson required (dual ticket preferred)
  • 1–3+ years of related experience in mining or heavy equipment industry
  • Strong ability to diagnose issues with PLCs, VFDs, and high‑voltage systems
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and proportional valve control
  • Understand the operation and function of Continuous Miners, Battery Haulers, Feeder Breakers, Roof Bolters, FCTs and Batteries
  • Knowledge of Advanced Control Systems such as Faceboss 2.0
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and with other trades and apprentices in a field environment
