Reports To: District Manager, Saskatchewan
Shift: 5x2 8h/day Monday to Friday
Safety Sensitive: Yes- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
Travel: up to 50% within Canada
Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation
Key Job Responsibilities
- Maintenance, repair, service, and inspection of underground mining equipment
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions
- Adjust, repair, or replace all defective equipment parts, components or systems serviced at customer sites
- Test the repaired equipment for proper performance
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Travel and work in remote locations
- Work with minimal supervision and participate in the work of other mechanics and apprentices within the field environmen
Qualifications/Requirements
- Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification, Red Seal preferred
- 3-5 years of mining or construction related experience
- Experience working in a field and underground environment required
- Previous experience working with Joy Global products is an asset
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals relating to manufacturer specifications and warranty
- Demonstrated ability to efficiently diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues in mechanical systems
- Experience in customer-facing roles and a sound understanding of the importance of customer relationships
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Strong attention to detail and able to work within the framework of multiple deadline
- Possess a strong standard for quality and safety
- Have a team-oriented approach and thought proces
