Job Overview

Safety:  Cultivate a collaborative Zero Harm culture that maintains an injury-free workplace that is healthy and environmentally conscious.  
Customer:  Provide a One Komatsu experience for our customers to find solutions to part needs and solve problems.  Objective is >95% OTD leveraging all the planning and stocking resources in the US.  Optimize the freight to reduce expense. 
Warehouse:  Facilitate timely inventory audits and cycle counting to assure inventory accuracy.  Complete day to day Warehouse requirements including the pick/pack/ship process to meet customer requirements.  
Technical:  Drive Operational Excellence and work in conjunction with the rest of the facilities in the US and Canada.  Participate in the North American initiatives to standardize, document and drive improvements at all locations.  Working knowledge of SAP/CDK (or other ERP system). Salesforce/CTS knowledge is a plus.

Inventory: 
KMC $2.4M
KAC $1.2M
On Time Delivery greater than 95% monthly
Monthly 5-10% inventory cycle count completion

Key Job Responsibilities

Safety

  • Complete safety audits to ensure equipment and tooling is operating in a safe manner
  • Be a visible leader of safety – always demonstrating the principles and safety culture of the organization in all actions

 

Customer

  • Provide a One Komatsu experience for our customers to find solutions to part needs and solve problems in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Complete day to day customer service requirements including processing sales orders and providing customer quotes with updated pricing and lead times.  Utilize appropriate resources to expedite part deliveries or internal processes to meet customer requirements.
  • Create and facilitate customer discussion to reconcile our planning and stocking intent within budget, customer stocking plans and intent to purchase from Komatsu.
  • >95% On Time Delivery.
  • Support the On Call process for urgent afterhours customer requirements.
  • Provide value beyond taking part orders.

 

Warehouse

  • Ensure inventory accuracy with proper cycle counting and audits including proper storage.
  • Complete day to day Warehouse requirements including unloading freight, parts put away, and the pick/pack/ship process to meet customer requirements.  
  • Ensure a safe and efficient Warehouse environment to maximize Warehouse capacity, improve processes, and promote productivity.
  • Manage any parts that are non-conforming that are shipped back to Manufacturer on Q3’s or Claims process.
  • Monitor and maintain warehouse racking and the parts laydown yard

 

Technical

  • Complete all Customer Service and Warehouse requirements utilizing the SAP/CDK ERP systems.  Additionally, effectively utilize the KA Parts Portal, KTIP, Komatsu Mining Parts Book, and Salesforce/CTS as sources of additional information.
  • Provide accurate and timely customer feedback, as applicable
  • Support an environment of open and honest, two-way communication
  • Create a network of resources throughout the broader Komatsu organization to increase efficiencies, create synergies, and support the One Komatsu initiative

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Customer Service and Warehouse Experience
  • MSHA Training (can be completed after start of employment)
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Proficient in SAP/CDK (or other ERP) and Microsoft Office

  • $51,000 - $68,000 yearly salary (based on experience), plus annual merit compensation review and bonus payout
