Reporting to the Business Unit Manager (motors) and supporting the Production Controller, the primary responsibilities for this role is to assist with ensuring that all rebuild work across our Motor cell is appropriately planned and executed on time
This role involves working alongside estimators, partnering with our stores team, and liaising with distribution centres to keep things running smoothly

So, what will I be doing exactly
- Managing a production planning work centre process to allow Supply, Engineering and Production to meet the manufacturing plan for on-time deliveries.
- Development and maintenance of rebuild and production order work packs and instructions, with support from the Team Leaders.
- Maintaining and updating information within SAP, entering Bill of repair information to track variations.
- Obtaining and compiling reports to and from key stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Liaising with Supply on purchasing priorities, lead times and conflicting demands to ensure parts are available when required.
- Completing documentation and coordinating dispatch of components to be sent offsite to internal and external facilities.
- Controlling the dynamic demands on allocations with service orders.
- Providing internal customers with clear and concise instructions.
- Liaising with Production Controller, Planners, Leading Hands and Business Unit Manager to achieve results and to manage SAP or any ERP system with Production and rebuild environment job data and execution with MRP.
- Working with cell leading hands and Business Unit Manager to ensure process improvements are actioned to achieve WIP cycle reduction targets.
Requirements for success
- Mechanical/electrical trade background with electric motor experience highly desirable yet not essential.
- Previous experience working in a planning role in heavy manufacturing would be ideal.
- Previous working knowledge and experience in a MRP and a high level of computer literacy.
- An ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people both internal and external to the organization, while building strong relationships
