Overview.
Komatsu are on the hunt for an underground mechanical service technician to support our customers in the Hunter Valley region.
How you plan your week will depend on where you call home. You may be travelling to site and staying a few nights per week or driving daily to site if you live more locally to our customer sites.
You’ll have the autonomy to plan your week according to your customer’s requirements. Don’t worry, first we ensure you have everything you need for success by providing you an extensive onboarding program and classroom-based product training at our training centre of excellence.

You'll bring:
• Mechanical Trade Qualification.
• Experience working underground with longwall mining equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work in an autonomous role.
Key job responsibilities
• Provide customers with pro-active advice and support
• Facilitate flawless start-up of development machines.
• Support engineering and be directly involved with machine commissioning.
• Provide advanced technical support for development equipment in the field.
• Coordinate new product field trials and document results including any opportunities for product enhancement.
• Collate field data and evidence for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major failures and unresolved reliability issues.
• Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs.
