A set roster > morning or afternoon.  Whether you’re a morning person and like to get stuck in early, or you prefer a later start so you can drop the kids off at school, Komatsu Underground has you covered.

A 9-day fortnight.  Don’t mind a long weekend? Who doesn’t!?  We’ve listened to our people and have designed our rosters to suit a modern lifestyle. Take a Friday or Monday off per fortnight so you can spend more time doing the things you love.

Mentoring.  At our Rutherford facility alone our leaders in the Motor Shop have over 100 years of collective electrical experience. They’re keen to pass that onto you.

Career & leadership development.  We develop personalised, tailored and structured career development plans for our Fitters that allows them to move into: Sales, Service, Project Management & Leadership roles.

So what will I be doing, exactly?

You’ll be carrying out overhauls on AC and DC electric motors from surface and underground mining equipment including shuttle cars and continuous miners.

You don’t necessarily need to have had motor or flameproofing experience, but if you do, you’ll hit the ground running.

You’ll be joining a highly talented team of electrical fitters that pride themselves on their work ethic and quality outputs.

This supportive and friendly team is dedicated to knowledge sharing, collaboration and building a great culture.

What do I need to qualify?

• Relevant electrical trade qualification.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Accuracy & attention to detail.
