Job Overview
Lead and manage the end-to-end process for planning strategic and New Product Introduction (NPI) inventory, including developing and executing initial stocking decisions. Continuously monitor machine populations through Komtrax to anticipate demand and proactively adjust inventory levels, ensuring seamless distributor support. Partner closely with product managers to align on launch timelines and guarantee that critical parts are available in advance of each NPI rollout, driving successful product introductions and customer satisfaction
Provides the resource to establish and manage the process to plan strategic inventory to align KAC RPO inventories with machine population to provide best in class availability (coverage) balanced with optimum supply chain costs. This position directs the process between all supply chain stakeholders to provide appropriate customer support. Provides the resource based on technical characteristics & market intelligence to ensure proper parts coverage to include new product introduction (NPI) and machines with increasing population
Key Job Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of service parts to support all products released to the market. The goal is 97.5% availability of the precedence /RPL (recommended parts list) for product introduction.
- Utilize Komtrax data to monitor population and service meter readings (SMR) to establish stocking inventory depth for early and mid-life analysis.
- Collaborate with material planners to ensure 98% of precedence list parts are available prior to NPI launch.
- Conduct scheduled machine reviews for stocking decisions at RPO and regional depots.
- Collaborate with product managers and attend bi-weekly NPI calls to provide parts status report with availability, on order, and ETA’s.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager of Parts Deployment.
Qualifications/Requirements
Required Skills:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Material Planning, Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or equivalent work experience
- Working knowledge of Materials Management processes, including forecasting, inventory planning, ERP and Distribution
Preferred Skills:
- Extreme sense of urgency with results-oriented bias for action
- Change agent that embraces personal accountability
- Professional PC skills in Excel, Access, Power Point, Power BI and related mainframe and forecasting applications
- Professional written and oral communication skills
- Reliable attendance and adherence to scheduled work hours are essential
- Embraces accountability and responsibility – individual and shared
- Knowledge of Manufacturing, production planning and/or heavy equipment machinery experience a plus
- Physical Requirements: This position requires sitting approximately 90% of the time to complete detailed work typically using a PC. The position occasionally requires working extended periods to meet time sensitive deadlines.

Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The starting point for this role is $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
