Job Overview
Provides a variety of clerical and technical support services for the Human Resources Department. This position is the first point of contact for HR inquiries. Key responsibilities include providing support for HR front desk operations, supporting the pre-employment, staffing and on-boarding processes, and troubleshooting problems to meet employees’ needs.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Assists with implementation of human resources procedures and processes. May answer and direct calls, greet employees visiting the HR Department and responds to inquiries and requests for information.
- Enters and processes new hire, change and termination information into computer databases. Supports recruiting processes by reviewing resumes and forwards to appropriate managers. Responds to applicants and enters information in applicant tracking as needed. Updates and maintains HR forms.
- Maintains the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of employee files, both paper and electronic. Requests missing information from departments as necessary. Assists in updating and maintaining the HR drives and forms.
- Works independently on special HR projects as assigned (e.g. employee engagement, internal digital boards and social media, etc.) Conducts employee surveys and supports employee listening strategies including focus group coordination and pulse survey development.
- Coordinates HR training presentations and maintains proper ISO training records
- Coordinates employee relations events. Organizes and supports employee events and activities that promote a positive workplace culture and drives community involvement.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associates degree preferred
- Strong computer skills required (good knowledge of Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Must have high level of discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Attention to detail
- High level of organization and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize
- Strong sense of urgency
- Demonstrated focus on customer service and satisfaction
Additional Information
- Minimum of two years of relevant experience; previous experience in human resources preferred
- PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
