Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an account to join our operations accounting team in Ripley, TN. In this role you will own the general ledger for assigned accounts, including the preparation of journal entries, monthly account reconciliations, management reporting, and variance analysis. Support the business planning process monthly, quarterly, and annually. This role is a business partner for key stakeholders with a focus on providing accounting support and guidance for financial transactions, driving process improvements, resolving business challenges, and evaluating the impact of new initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Perform month-end closing tasks including the preparation and recording of journal entries, analyzing variances, completing account reconciliations, and preparing disclosures and supporting schedules.
- Primary responsibility will be for billing and sales cutoff testing, with additional responsibility for various general accounting entries and management reporting.
- Responsible for GR/IR account reconciliation and reporting.
- Assist with the buyback and invoice cancellation process.
- Provide accounting support and guidance for business transactions involving billing, sales cutoff testing, employee travel expense reporting, warranty expenses, and royalties. May provide support for additional activities on an as-needed basis.
- Work collaboratively with business contacts to identify and drive process improvements, resolve business challenges, and provide financial information to key stakeholders to assist in making business decisions
- Ensure consistency in application of accounting practices in compliance of GAAP and Komatsu accounting policies.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
Qualifications/Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting or Finance required.
- 2+ years of progressive accounting and/or financial analysis experience.
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity of other Microsoft 365 applications– Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Experience working with a large-scale ERP system; SAP experience is a plus.
- Must be able to think critically and independently troubleshoot issues when they arise.
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-accountants and develop effective working relationships across multiple levels of the organization.

- Ability to manage time and to consistently meet deadlines.
- Experience in a high volume, multi company, multi-location environment is preferred.
