Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Rental Coordinator to oversee the end-to-end execution of equipment rental processes across multiple branch locations. This role is responsible for managing rental order generation, fulfillment, maintenance coordination, and return procedures to ensure operational efficiency and alignment with company objectives. This position may be based in any of our Hatfield, Harrisburg, Wilkes‑Barre, or State College locations.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Accommodate phone and walk-in internal/external customers to generate rental orders in a cooperative, supportive and courteous manner displaying professionalism always.
- Supervise yard coordinators (in all matters related to rental) to assure compliance with company policy and processes resulting in efficient rental order fulfillment and return activities. Develop and implement resolutions for areas of noncompliance.
- Generate rental contracts, validate customer account status, confirm customer insurance status, confirm customer credit status, revise as required because of changing situations, close contracts and set for invoicing.
- Process equipment requests from internal and external customers by matching and prioritizing available inventory with requests
- Maintain accurate inventory records immediately notifying Rental Operations Supervisor of incorrect records. Perform cycle inventory counts as required.
- Assure damage repair, fuel, freight…etc expense recovery meets or exceeds company goals.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance needs with service department and GM – Inventory, Procurement & Maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability. . Monitor rental related WIP to assure proper coding and content.
- Coordinate equipment transportation with internal and external customers to ensure delivery commitments are met cost effectively.
- Recommend equipment inventory levels appropriate for local needs coordinating with the GM- Inventory, Procurement & Maintenance to meet those needs.
- Assist Credit Department in collection of rental related receivables and rental related Certificates of Insurance.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required some college or technical training preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge or hands-on experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, loaders, bulldozers, haul trucks), with a working knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Excellent communication, comprehension, and analytical abilities
- Proven customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Additional Information
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $50,000-60,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
