Job Overview

Lead and manage parts department and warehouse. Maintain relationship with employees, customers, and other departments to drive customer satisfaction, customer support, and internal expectations for profitable return on corporate assets. 

Scope 

Works under the guidance of the Regional Manager to fulfill the needs of the department and branch as directed.
 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Successful achievement of all business unit operation KPIs as defined by the GM of product support to include but not be limited to revenue, profitability, employee overtime, fill rates, stock level, etc.
  •  Effective collaboration with other departmental managers and employees to drive customer productivity and satisfaction
  •  Create Legendary Customer Service by minimizing parts fulfillment delays through communication and teamwork with inventory control personnel under the guidance of the GM of Product Support
  • Be responsible for the outcome of the parts departments Profit and Loss. 
  • Develop steps and procedures under the guidance of the Director of Parts to ensure departments attainment of annual and mid-year sales goals and strategic plans to maximize use of corporate inventory investment, staffing levels and meet market expectations for product delivery. 
  • Manage the daily Parts Dept. operations including internal material transfers, quotation and product delivery, and customer satisfaction to maximize revenue, margin dollars, profitability, and share of market.
  • Manage all counter documents and purchase orders to ensure that customer orders are being filled in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Manage and track all core activities to ensure all accounting and stock status transactions have been completed properly, control freight charges and recovery of charges.
  • Manage and develop Parts staff.
  • Create inventory recommendations based on changes and communicate with the Director of Parts to ensure Inventory control meets branch expectations for availability and customer satisfaction
  • Manage all parts authorized returns to ensure that the correct parts are returned, and all credits are applied.
  • Performs additional duties as required to achieve company goals and increase overall company profitability. 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in construction and mining industry 
  • Proven leadership. Ability to motivate employees and work with internal departments to achieve desired results.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including PC skills.
  • Knowledge of Komatsu products and the construction, utility, rental and mining industries.
  • Understanding of Parts operations
  • General knowledge of computer software and its utilization potential, particularly Microsoft Office and web browsers
  • Must be a self-motivated, energetic, detail-minded individual with excellent analytical and people skills.
  • Must have demonstrated proficiency in Problem Solving, Influence Capabilities, Supervisory/Administrative Skills, Planning, and Technical Experience.
  • Must work effectively in a fast-paced environment with staff and internal/external customers.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.  Must be able to interact well with customers and employees.
  • Ability to frequently reach, bend, walk, etc.
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Additional Information

 

Hiring Range 

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $110,000-120,000. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
