Job Overview

Impact is based on a 10% reduction in cost of poor quality in the area where assigned.
Savings are associated with reduction in lead time, process improvement, scrap and rework as-well-as reduced customer/field complaints.
Include limits of authority on matters of expenditures, changing policies, implementing plans.
Position is authorized for expenditures to sustain daily operations which are not to exceed $1,000 per expenditure.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Facilitate, schedule, monitor and support UG-AMNO Warranty Program
- Support AMNO ISO Certification by performing ISO 9001 Internal Audits and facilitating ISO external audits
- Develop and conduct coaching, training plans, activities and facilitate formal training of UG-SR Warranty Processes, Procedures, Policies and Work Instructions
- Provide technical support to regional Quality personnel with the Warranty Processes and adjudication
- Organize and maintain a sufficient, experienced warranty pool and conduct training to maintain
- Develop and implement procedures, work instructions and flow charts to support regional Warranty process
- Work with Warranty process owners to develop process measurements to effectively communicate the sites performance throughout the region
- Manage and keep current Regional Warranty documentation as required
- Compile and report weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual metrics on Warranty and Quality systems
- Manage the implementation of projects related to Warranty as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements
- A Bachelors or Associates Degree in science, business, mathematics or engineering or 5-7 years equivalent quality experience in Manufacturing or Industrial work environment
- A minimum of 7-9 years of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance field that can demonstrate the skills required as listed above
- A background in underground mining machinery or equivalent heavy industrial equipment is required
- Good understanding of computers and be proficient with Inventory/Supply Chain Business System(s) (SAP). Microsoft office including Excel and Word is required.
- Ability to read and interpret detailed manufacture type engineering drawings
- 5-7 years of experience with mechanical assemblies, hydraulics and electronics
- 1-3 years of experience with work related to quality methods, statistics, problem solving techniques and corrective and preventive action systems

Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
