Job Overview
Komatsu is seeking a Production Planner to join our Operations team based in Moss Vale. This role plays a key part in coordinating resources and production schedules to ensure manufacturing and project delivery runs smoothly across the business.
Working closely with Supply, Engineering, Production and Planning teams, you’ll manage a date‑driven production plan, balance competing priorities and support the successful delivery of multiple projects in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain a date‑driven production planning process to support manufacturing schedules
- Create and manage manufacturing jobs and production schedules in line with project plans
- Coordinate resources across Supply, Engineering and Operations to meet delivery commitments
- Manage changing priorities and service order demands
- Liaise with Supply on purchasing priorities, lead times and conflicting demands
- Support concurrent projects and evolving specifications for OEM manufacture
- Maintain accurate data and ensure clear information flows across systems
- Work closely with Planners, Team Leaders and Production Controllers to achieve outcomes
- Provide clear instructions and support to internal stakeholders
Qualifications/Requirements
- Experience in production planning, scheduling or manufacturing environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, MRP and production control principles
- Experience using SAP and strong skills in Excel and other computer‑based systems
- Highly organised with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable managing competing priorities and working to deadlines
- Clear communicator who can work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Trade or project management qualifications are desirable but not essential
