Job Overview
The Aftermarket Sales Manager is primarily responsible for increasing market share of parts sales, extended warranty, and all available supplemental offerings for all FMBD (forestry machine business division) equipment. The secondary area of responsibility is to suggest and support new offerings (products and services), that align with driving revenue and creating customer value. These functions and activities can be broad in nature but also include active participation in dealer parts planning, relevant trade show attendance. The Aftermarket Manager will also act as primary liaison between external and internal stakeholders to drive main job functions, this includes P&A requests and sourcing support.
The Aftermarket Manager is responsible for achieving and maintaining sales volume and margin targets, that align, as a percentage of total new equipment sales, as well as overall fleet population. The Aftermarket Manager is also responsible for developing, and supporting deployment, of additional revenue streams, that remain relevant to a very dynamic forestry market. The Aftermarket Manager will work with senior leadership to establish relevant sales metrics and goals that drive both DB and customer value, to ensure increased support is realized through the entire value chain.
The Aftermarket Manager utilizes several operating systems to perform these tasks given the broad nature of the role and the information required to drive results.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Drives aftermarket parts sales and relevant revenue streams that align with specific KPI’s
- While driving supplemental commercial offerings, positions also suggests new revenue opportunities based on customer and DB’s feedback (to include industry trends as well).
- Establishes strong DB and customer relationships within their geographic area.
- Becomes a trusted resource that resolves issues and concerns in a prompt and professional manner.
- Responsible for supporting Aftermarket strategies, through information gathering, planning and execution of business plans.
- High level of coordination with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure prompt and accurate response, as it relates to both Aftermarket sales functions.
- Utilizes internal sales platforms that support primary job functions.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in Operations, Business, or related field.
- Minimum requirement five (5) years of Sales and Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of outside sales experience, preferably tied to parts or heavy equipment sales.
- Current knowledge of forestry market and rolling stock associated with logging operations
- Technical aptitude to understand basic mechanical, hydraulic and electronic machine operations
- Must possess analytical/critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with MS Office applications Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Infor Syteline or XA is a plus, but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Up to 75% travel to DB’s and customer sites required.
- Must project a cooperative and positive attitude toward customers, employees, and the Company.
- Must comply with all environmental, quality, and safety rules, practices, and standards.

Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $NA. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
