Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electric Drive Truck (EDT) Technician to join our team in Phoenix! In this role, you will perform diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on electric drive systems and components for Komatsu haul trucks. You’ll work on alternators, blowers, rotors, stators, and armatures, with occasional exposure to shovel motors and components. This job is onsite Monday - Thursday.
Key Job Responsibilities

- Perform repairs and/or rebuild service on Komatsu Electric Drive Systems (GE) and other brands of heavy equipment so you should have strong diagnostic and repair skills.
- Knowledge and understanding of (GE) drive systems, (AC, DC).
- Diagnose, troubleshot and repair high voltage electrical breakdowns on heavy haulage equipment.
- Create job plan based on diagnosis to include repair operations and anticipated repair hours need to complete repair.
- Prepare inspection, RCFA, troubleshoot and teardown reports.
- Organize, clean, and maintain a safe work area.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Associate Degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent preferred
- 5+ years of hands-on electric drive experience
- Minimum of 2 years of dealership experience
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting is a plus
- Able to work onsite Monday - Thursday

Additional Information
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Certified to operate a forklift and/or manlift.
- May be required to complete a DOT physical.
- Required to complete MSHA certification.
- May be required to complete respirator certification.
Tooling
- Must have a basic set of mechanics tools that meet minimum requirements as defined on Komatsu Equipment Company technician tool list

Work Environment
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions.
- Occasionally exposed to extreme heat; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
