Job Overview
This is a 2nd shift position.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Set up and operate all tool grinding equipment.
- Will deliver small jigs and fixtures to operators and tools to work centers, as necessary.
- Will also operate tool crib, including tool crib window and will operate shop copy machine. Maintains tool inventories and does necessary posting functions.
- Places identification on tools. Sets, presets and maintains machine shop tooling.
- Will also rebuild mill cutters, turn and bore cartridges, tool holders, etc. as well as wash, clean, oil, store, calibrate and change tools as required.
- Will locate and identify storage areas for each component of tool.
- Maintains stock of repair parts and requisitions replacement of tooling as required.
- Will use CRT to issue tool crib items to employees.
- Works from engineering drawings, routings, procedure sheets and tool crib instruction procedures.
- Responsible for quality of own work. Will work under supervision.
- Will train other operators as directed.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Possess a background in machining and tooling.
- Must demonstrate interpersonal skills that facilitate communications with customers.
Additional Information
Hiring Range
At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $$33.00.
