Job Overview

The Supervisor, Planning and Ordering organized by product lines and/or commodities and supplies, has the responsibility to lead and supervise the process of planning and expediting scheduled requirements with the supply base. This position is responsible for communicating and confirming forward planning requirements with suppliers, managing suppliers’ capacity and priorities during time of capacity shortage and lastly evaluating the performance of our supply base to both our needs and their lead times.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the execution of orders and accurate forecasting.
  • Evaluate the accuracy and quality of system execution signals jointly with the Materials Planning Manager.
  • Monitor and evaluate planner decisions and provide feedback to improve the health of inventory.
  • Eliminate waste in planning processes to allow planners to conduct meaningful work.
  • Suggest strategy changes to inventory planning and system settings.
  • Provide support to planners with supplier issues and accurate deliveries of product.
  • Attend meetings after normal business hours for necessary business requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Required - Bachelor of Science Degree Business/Management/Statistics a plus.
  • Knowledge of planning tools and processes.
  • Extreme sense of urgency and bias for actions.
  • Embraces accountability and responsibility-both shared and individual.
  • Professional PC skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.
  • Professional written and oral communication skills required.

Hiring Range
