Exciting opportunities exists for exceptional, technically minded electrical and mechanical tradespersons to join our global organisation. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring optimum performance for the organisation’s mining system in terms of safety, reliability and productivity for a number of stakeholders we service in the Central Qld Bowen Basin.

We have multiple positions for individuals seeking a career with a Global company working on state-of-the-art underground equipment. You will join a service delivery team who will take your existing knowledge and experience and upskill you on Komatsu mining equipment ensuring your service delivery to our stakeholders is of optimum level.

These opportunities will see you gain extensive training on Komatsu equipment and mining procedures required to be a successful Underground Service Technician, along with a tool of trade vehicle, accommodation/meals and an attractive roster and remuneration package. These are full time positions and based out of Rockhampton or Mackay.  You will be partnered up with an experienced service engineer (technician) for an introductory period to ensure you are equipped with the skills to be able to service our stakeholders.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Provide customers with pro-active advice and support, increasing equipment performance and productivity.
• Facilitate Flawless Start-up plans in line with global policy.
• Develop and standardize equipment and system commissioning plans.
• Provide advanced technical support for equipment in the field.
• Coordinate new product field trials and document results including any opportunities for product enhancement.
• Collate field data and evidence for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities for major failures and unresolved reliability issues.
• Engage with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to offer solutions for customer needs.

Values Skills and attributes required for this role:

• Trade or Engineering qualification in as either an electrician, fitter, or plant mechanic.
• Safety & quality focussed.
• Experience working on heavy mobile equipment desired.
