Job Overview
The Electrical Technical Service Representative is a key member of the Service and Customer Support teams. This role provides the customer with support to resolve machine down issues along with guidance to help maximize machine performance.

Key Job Responsibilities
-
Assist customer with resolution to basic technical and functional issues with Komatsu mining equipment and repair as necessary. Independently resolve routine technical service issues using standard processes and methods.

Responsible for basic troubleshooting and repair of the electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems of Komatsu mining equipment., which may include electric mining shovels, rotary blast hole drills and wheel loaders.

Assist with construction of new equipment, rebuilds of existing equipment and commissioning of new and rebuilt equipment.

Use of computer software and other technical tools to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Assist in the installation of software upgrades to improve machine performance.

Assist in the installation of upgrades and or replacement components on equipment as needed.

Interface with mine maintenance personnel and Komatsu Account Managers with regard to identifying needed equipment, parts and service. Work with Account Managers to promote sales of parts, service, electrical and mechanical upgrades

Demonstrate knowledge and support of Komatsu, OSHA/MSHA and customer safety policies and procedures.

Complete daily Service Reports and customer reports before leaving the mine site.

Monitor and evaluate machine/operator performance and provide guidance to customer to improve machine performance and availability.

As needed, work with Komatsu engineering on complex issues related to the equipment being supported.

Work as a team with more experienced TSR's to learn from their experience and knowledge.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman electrician and/or 2-year degree in electrical related schooling or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 1-3 years related experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Basic knowledge of Advanced Control Systems such as A/B Rockwell, ABB Control Builder
- Willing to travel
- Ability to work a 24/7 on-call schedule (including holidays and weekends) as scheduled.
- Experience with problem solving and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge on a broad range of mining equipment.
