Job Overview

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Paint Technician to join our dynamic team in Elliot Lake. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading underground mining operation where safety, precision, and quality are top priorities.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces and apply industrial coatings to mining equipment and components.
  • Operate spray guns, sandblasters, and other painting tools in accordance with safety standards.
  • Inspect finished work to ensure quality and durability.
  • Maintain painting equipment and ensure a clean, organized work area.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ensure compliance with local occupational safety, health and air pollution control regulations including Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) and with all safety precautions recommended by paint manufacturer.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or automotive painting.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation, coating types, and application techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment is an asset.
