How you will help us create value together:

As a Logistics Analyst Intern, you will be responsible for a range of support activities for the Global Logistics Team. This team manages how freight moves end to end exporting from US, importing to the US, and domestic transportation moves from dispatching to billing.

This position will be based onsite at our Milwaukee Distribution Center in Oak Creek WI. The target start date for this role is Summer 2023 and has potential to be extended into the Fall 2023 school semester. We offer full-time hours during the summer and flexible part-time hours during the academic year.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Dispatch Team to understand outbound shipment process and create/update Standard Operating Procedures
  • Monitor backlog reports and assist warehouse in clean-up of outstanding items
  • Work with Dispatch Team to sort paperwork and audit shipments in the warehouse
  • Assist Freight Accounts Payable Team in financial reporting and Domestic Carrier Management
  • Assist the International Logistics Team by means of reporting, data analytics and cost management strategies
  • Work with Logistics Team on quoting and creating/updating Standard Operating Procedures
  • Organize shared files and folders via SharePoint & Teams

Qualifications we look for

Basic Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, or similar, from an accredited college or university
  • Sophomore, Junior level student in good academic standing preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
  • Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous classroom and/or work experience in one or more of the following areas: Logistics, warehouse, distribution, or transportation
  • Familiarity with MRP / ERP systems is a plus, especially SAP
  • Access to reliable transportation strongly encouraged; internship is on-site
  • Willing to work in both warehouse and office environments
  • Interest in or aptitude to learn about careers in the heavy equipment/manufacturing industry
