Job Overview
The sales representative’s main responsibilities are following up existing and potential customers in the automotive industry, making arrangements to complete the projects, and developing new customers for machine sales. This position requires project management and communicating with our parent company in Japan where the machines are manufactured.
Key Job Responsibilities
Following Up With Customers
- Follow up on ongoing projects and report any related issues and customer requests to the management team and communicate with the sales/engineering department in Japan
- Attend the meeting with customers
- Travel to customer sites and the plant in Japan
- Make presentations to customers
Project Management
- Ensure the progress of the projects and make necessary arrangements
Reporting
- Report sales activities to the management team (weekly, monthly and anytime when requested)
- Report any issues, inquiries and customer requests to the manager and appropriate departments in the parent company in Japan
Business Development
- Make phone calls, emails, and visit customer prospects
- Research new markets and customers
Qualifications/Requirements
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to take initiative
- Reliability
- Strong work ethics
- Ability to work as a team
- Japanese language skill is a plus
- Working experience in Japanese companies is a plus
- 30% of travel required for this role
- Education level: Undergraduate or higher degree
- At least 3 years of working experience (in Automotive industry preferred)
- Responsibilities may include special projects that are not described in the job description
