Job Overview

Provide a variety of technical support functions for the Product Support and Design Engineering Departments including support to dealers regarding technical matters; perform various capacity calculations; make recommendations regarding capacity and product utilization, processing of CRME’s, and maintenance of the TSI SharePoint site.
 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

  • Provide capacity information including quotations and stamped data plates for dealers and other KFI departments and/or personnel.  Maintain database of all calculations and cost to create and ship data plates to dealers and other companies.
  • Receives Customer Requests to Modify Equipment (CRME) and work with each Plants QA, Engineering Depts, and component manufacturers to process and reply to the Dealer or Distributor.
  • Works and Prepares Technical Bulletins in coordination with KAC Technical Publications and KAC/KLTD QA Dept. to prepare Parts and Service News, maintains an index and distributes on a monthly basis, meets with departments regularly to keep them informed.
  • Maintains Service News index/log and distributes or issues a Technical Bulletin.
  • Maintains CSL SharePoint Database and presents information on monthly Service/QA meetings.
  • Maintains TSI database (SharePoint & SMAP) weekly and distributes weekly/monthly summaries to appropriate departments and personnel (QA, & ETSI Reporting)
  • Works with Service Management and QA to determine and share information on failure trends found in the TSI databases by series, models, and failure codes, and alerts management of new trends.
  • Creates and sends out weekly Product Support Summary to appropriate personnel.
  • Provides engineering support for Product Support Service and Design Engineering Departments.
  • Provides direct technical assistance for District Service Managers (DSRM’s) on TSI & CSL SharePoint Database, SMAP, and other systems.
  • Communication with Service local vendor for attachment information and local modification parts as required.
  • Provides support to Design Engineering and Sales Department to process Special Feature Requests (SFR) and Special Capacity Requests (SCR).
  • Answer phone and e-mail inquiries that pertain to job responsibilities and technical area in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Liaison between PS and engineering departments of KFI, KAC and KFLTD

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Associates or BS in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil) and/or 1-3 years of related work
  • Experience in forklift or heavy equipment preferred
  • Must be proficient in MS Access, Word, Excel, and SharePoint and understand and be able to utilize advanced functions of Access (Replication) & Excel (Pivot Tables).  Experience in SAP is a plus and/or Power BI
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external contacts
