Job Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager, HR Administration to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. In this role you will develop and support a shared service philosophy by managing a team who is responsible for U.S. HR Administration, responsible for driving operational excellence. 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end ownership of HR data, reviewing and optimizing our business processes and technology to reduce manual inputs, drive accuracy in reporting, and create a positive HR Administration experience
  • Manage HR administration including, but not limited to, new hire processing, employee record management, reporting, and other transactional activities such as tuition reimbursement, unemployment claims and more.  Partner with HRIS to ensure technology supports the administration.
  • Accountable for ensuring the team meets expectations in terms of consistency, accuracy, and timely completion of administrative processes. Includes defining team performance standards, team metrics, monitoring metrics and acting based on the data. 
  • Lead projects related to HR Administration and serve as a subject matter expert for related projects and initiatives. Work cross functionally with HR Business Partners, Benefits, Payroll, Accounting, HRIS and IT to implement new business initiatives
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex issues related to HR administration activities.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and support to the HR administration team to enhance their performance and development.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure their routine HR reporting needs are being met. (IE Headcount reports, compliance, workforce analytics, etc.) Support the monitoring of key HR metrics
  • Design standard process workflows and tools to support the full scope of HR Operations. Proactively seek out and repair process gaps. Suggest and implement process improvements.
  • Continuously improve the quality of HR data and the integrity of downstream systems and analytics
  • Promote self-service capabilities for our Employees and Managers, empowering them to own their data through training and documentation
  • Assist with compliance audits in partnership with our IT and Legal teams, providing HR-focused subject matter expertise

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, experience in HR shared services/HR administration environment is a plus
  • 3+ years of supervisory/management experience, leading direct reports
  • Working knowledge of employment laws
  • Ability to manage, mentor, coach and develop others
  • Ability to establish, build and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Effective change management skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate across departments and at all levels
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills – Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience using SuccessFactors is a plus
