Job Overview

The Supply Chain Analytics Manager at Komatsu will manage Supply Chain systems and databases such as SAP, Supplier Portal, Aribia enablement/supplier collaboration, Ariba Spend Cube,  Legal SharePoint (NDA, MPAs, Contracts) and confirms monthly data update and enrichment, KTIP (drawings).  Responsible for continuous improvement and utilization of systems and related testing for system upgrades and requested functionality changes for implementation.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage day to day Supply Chain systems and communication tools with suppliers:  SAP and supplier network process, questions and systems.    Ensure system testing and validation for system changes or when upgrades are implemented.  Get all locations on common systems where possible and support Team with training/questions/processes– i.e., Aribia spend cube, Legal repository, Contracts, KTIP.
  • Supports Strategic Sourcing, Commodity Managers and NPD Cost Optimization Managers with spend analysis, compiling of commodity forecast indexes, trend data and analytics related to sources of supply and commodity plans for OE and Aftermarket in accordance with SLQCD principals.
  • Compile commodity indexes and material forecasts, create data and files for projects, supplier report cards, etc..
  • Provides data analytics, manages and interprets data to provide clear interpretation of information to support leaders in sourcing decisions.
  • Manage compliance initiatives (ex. NAFTA and Free Trade certificates, Country of Origin collection, UK Modern Slavery, etc.) by collecting information from suppliers and making recommendations and decisions to best support cost savings.
  • Proactively address issues confronting the supply chain such as tariffs and report progress and actions taken to mitigate risk.  Calculates “what if” analysis for cost implications to business and to plan financial impacts and model changes to impacts.  Owner of master data.
  • Supports cost-out initiatives as directed primarily with data, master data changes, recommendations, and what if analysis.
  • Work with Team to develop and document procedures/processes and supports Sourcing piece of ISO certification/documentation requirements. Creation and analysis of KPIs, metrics and reports as specified by management.
  • Assists with creating quoting packages for Commodity Managers,  creating info records and updating system master data, performs mass loads of data with desired changes (pricing, category changes, COO, etc.).

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree Required - preferably in Operations, Logistics, IT, or Supply Chain
  • Must possess exceptionally strong analytical/critical thinking skills
  • CPIM, CSCP or CPM Certification a plus (or willingness to work towards)
  • 5-8 Years+ years of relevant working experience
  • ERP environment (SAP a plus) experience a plus
  • Experience with Supply Chain Systems / Analytics
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications preferred
  • Project Management Skills
  • MS Office aptitude, Excel
  • Detail Oriented, Strong analytical/critical thinking skills
  • Knowledge of supply chain/logistics concepts and practices
  • Understanding of process improvement
  • Works well under pressure while achieving desired results
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Knowledge of KMC products is a plus but not required
